Role Description

Guardian Life is seeking a motivated Group Benefits Sales Representative based in the Pittsburgh, PA area to drive sales and retention of group benefits for plans covering 2-1,999 lives, with a primary focus on the 100-1,999 market segment. Reporting to the Market Leader, you will build and maintain relationships with Premier brokers and plan holders. Success is measured by achieving high production levels through broker development and internal collaboration. This work-from-home role offers flexibility with up to 60% travel within the territory, ideal for experienced sales professionals passionate about dental, vision, life, disability, absence, and supplemental health products.

Detailed Responsibilities

You Will:

  • Market, position, and sell Guardian’s comprehensive Group Benefits portfolio, including Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Absence, and Supplemental Health products, along with innovative technology solutions to designated brokers.
  • Support broker and client relationships to foster development, growth, sales, and long-term retention.
  • Analyze territory dynamics to build, develop, and maintain strong broker relationships, expanding the book of business while embodying Guardian’s vision to inspire well-being.
  • Achieve or exceed personal sales production targets by mastering product knowledge and executing tactical sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor market trends, anticipate consumer demands, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Act as a market leader, sharing thought leadership, and cultivating strong community relationships to represent Guardian effectively.
  • Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to boost sales of product offerings.
  • Obtain required industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain it through ongoing Continuing Education.

You Have:

  • Deep knowledge of industry products and processes, including Worksite, LTD, Dental, complex absence products, online enrollment, experience rating, and dental network analysis.

Location & Travel: Pittsburgh, PA area base with up to 60% travel within territory. Work-from-home flexibility provided.

Compensation Overview

Role Description
