Role Description

Guardian Life is seeking a motivated Group Benefits Sales Representative to build and maintain Premier broker and plan holder relationships, driving sales and retention for groups of 2-1,999 lives, with a primary focus on the 100-1,999 market. Reporting to the Market Leader in your assigned Philadelphia territory, success is measured by high production levels through broker development and internal collaboration. This work-from-home role offers up to 60% travel within PA, blending virtual engagement with in-person relationship building. Ideal for experienced sales professionals passionate about dental, vision, life, disability, absence, and supplemental health products.

Detailed Responsibilities

You Will:

  • Market, position, and sell Guardian’s comprehensive Group Benefits portfolio, including Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Absence, and Supplemental Health products, plus innovative technology solutions to designated brokers.
  • Support broker and client relationships to foster Guardian sales growth and retention in the Philadelphia market.
  • Analyze territory dynamics to develop and maintain strong broker partnerships, growing the book of business while embodying Guardian’s vision to inspire well-being.
  • Achieve or exceed personal sales production targets through deep product knowledge and tactical sales strategies tailored to group benefits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor market trends, anticipate consumer demands, and position Guardian as a leader in Pennsylvania group insurance.
  • Act as a market leader by sharing thought leadership, strengthening community ties, and representing Guardian professionally.
  • Identify and champion process improvements and initiatives to boost sales of group benefits offerings like Worksite, LTD, and complex absence products.
  • Obtain required industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain it via Continuing Education.

Location & Travel: Philadelphia, PA area base with up to 60% territorial travel. Work-from-home flexibility provided.

Compensation Overview
