Role Description

The Learning & Development Specialist at Guardian Life supports our purpose and growth strategy by delivering seamless, high-quality learning experiences. This role focuses on operational execution, platform management, and colleague-facing communications for enterprise learning and leadership development programs. You'll manage learning platforms like LinkedIn Learning, coordinate logistics for virtual, hybrid, and in-person sessions, and provide reporting insights to enhance learning outcomes.

Partnering with Learning Leaders, Senior L&D Specialists, Talent & Culture teams, and vendors, you'll ensure efficient, scalable learning delivery aligned with Guardian's Ways of Working. Detailed Responsibilities

Leadership Development Programs

  • Coordinate logistics for enterprise learning and leadership development programs (virtual, hybrid, in-person), including scheduling, communications, materials, and vendor management.
  • Maintain learning calendars and program timelines for smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with facilitators, vendors, IT, and facilities to prepare resources, technology, and materials.
  • Handle participant communications, registration, reminders, and follow-up activities.

Learning Platform & Content Management

  • Administer LinkedIn Learning: curate paths/collections, manage user access, generate reports, and promote adoption.
  • Update Guardian’s Inside Guardian learning portal for accuracy and alignment with priorities.
  • Support Workday Learning admin tasks like enrollments, completions, reporting, and content updates.

Reporting, Metrics & Governance

  • Track participation, completion, and utilization metrics across platforms.
  • Prepare dashboards, summaries, and insights for stakeholders.
  • Maintain records and assets for auditability and governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in learning operations processes.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Senior L&D Specialist and Learning Leader for program delivery.
  • Streamline workflows to boost efficiency and learner experience.
  • Manage vendor coordination, contracts, and invoices.

Required Skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 2–4 years in learning operations, coordination, HR operations, or similar.
  • Experience with enterprise learning programs and leadership development.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Forms, SharePoint).
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and process improvement mindset.

Compensation Overview

The base salary for this Learning & Development Specialist role ranges from $59,110.00 - $88,660.00 annually, commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes performance bonuses, incentives, and comprehensive benefits.
