Role Description

Guardian is seeking a Life Insurance Product Support SME to deliver exceptional support to our field force. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the go-to expert for detailed product, rider, and illustration guidance. You'll develop training materials, conduct onboarding sessions for new agents, and provide comprehensive new business and in-force sales support via phone and email.

Your contributions will extend to crafting sales ideas, offering product and illustration expertise to both field agents and Home Office teams, developing sales support materials, preparing competitive analyses, assisting in training, and bolstering corporate marketing for individual life products. This hybrid position in Bethlehem offers the perfect blend of collaboration and flexibility.

Detailed Responsibilities

Core Support Duties

  • Provide General Agents, agents, staff members, and brokers with individualized case consultations and illustration support for our individual life portfolio, including traditional and variable life products.
  • Offer comprehensive new business and in-force sales support to the Guardian field force over phone and email.
  • Develop effective sales support materials, such as client pieces, investment performance comparisons, competitor analyses, illustration and technical support pieces.

Strategic and Innovative Contributions

  • Contribute product expertise to the development and enhancement of accurate sales illustration software, including initiating improvements and quality control.
  • Monitor competitor actions, compare competitive illustrations to Guardian's, and prepare insightful competitive data.
  • Assist in evolving the team's goal of providing product guidance on a larger scale.
  • Collaborate with Sales Support, Training, Marketing, and other departments across Profit Centers for unified field force support.
  • Continuously learn new sales support functions and products beyond the life portfolio to deliver optimal customer service.

  • Experience in life insurance sales and/or support with sales staff
  • 5+ years of life insurance industry experience strongly preferred
  • Understanding of general agency distribution systems

Compensation Overview

Salary Range: $59,110.00 - $88,660.00 (USD, yearly)

This range reflects a good faith estimate for the primary location in Bethlehem. Final salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
