Role Description

As a Product Manager, Financial Protection and Retirement Solutions (FPRS) at Guardian Life, you'll drive the product roadmap forward in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. Based in Bethlehem, United States, you'll organize initiatives, track progress, resolve dependencies and risks, and integrate usability research to deliver exceptional customer-focused designs. You'll spearhead end-to-end product development, defining data input/output requirements while aligning with value stream objectives and overarching business goals. This role is pivotal in advancing financial protection products, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of individuals and businesses seeking retirement security and peace of mind.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Ensure data and AI integrity by partnering with subject matter experts, upholding quality standards across products, and supporting scalable, data-driven solutions for financial protection and retirement offerings.
• Monitor product performance and alignment by tracking product-level objectives and key results (OKRs), ensuring the customer journey meets rigorous standards from the Customer Advocacy Center of Excellence.
• Collaborate with business leaders, change management teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to seamlessly integrate new features and enhancements into our FPRS portfolio.
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy, uncover growth opportunities, and maintain Guardian's edge in the insurance and retirement solutions market.
• Manage the full product lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping to launch and iteration—ensuring timely delivery, high-quality outcomes, and measurable impact.
• Identify opportunities for continuous operational improvement, partnering with Value Stream Leads (VSLs) and stakeholders to implement enhancements that boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate regular product reviews, retrospectives, and feedback sessions to drive iterative improvements and foster a culture of agility.
• Execute and lead complex projects with moderate resource needs, risks, and complexity, delivering results that advance Guardian's mission in financial protection.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in product management, finance, or related fields.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in product management or a related discipline, ideally within insurance, financial services, or retirement solutions.
• Proven track record in defining and driving product roadmaps, integrating customer research, and ensuring compliance with data/AI standards.
• Strong expertise in product journey mapping, business operational improvement, and OKR management.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve dependencies/risks, manage multiple tasks, and deliver under deadlines.

Compensation Overview

The salary range for this Product Manager role in Bethlehem, PA is $99,150.00 - $162,885.00 annually. This good faith estimate reflects base pay for the primary location. Final salary will be determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition to competitive base pay, this position may include annual incentives, sales bonuses, or other performance-based compensation, plus comprehensive benefits.
