Role Description

The Product Manager, Group Benefits sets and manages OKRs to drive the product roadmap for digital employer and broker experiences. You'll prioritize work, resolve dependencies, measure outcomes, and collaborate with technology, Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Claims, and Service teams. Embedded in the business, you'll ensure alignment with value stream objectives and business goals while supporting end-to-end product development, data requirements, and compliance.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Set, communicate, and monitor product-level objectives and key results (OKRs) based on Guardian’s business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Advocacy on customer journey mapping, user testing, and UX design workshops to ensure digital solutions meet customer needs.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and identify growth opportunities in group benefits.
  • Engage with other Value Streams to prioritize cross-functional capabilities, make prioritization decisions, and communicate to stakeholders.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Partner with business leaders, change management, and cross-functional teams for seamless integration of features and support go-to-market activities.
  • Ensure all digital solutions comply with regulatory standards in the insurance and benefits industry.
  • Maintain data and AI integrity by partnering with experts, upholding standards, and supporting scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Facilitate regular product reviews, retrospectives, and feedback loops to drive continuous improvement in self-service experiences.
  • Track initiatives, resolve dependencies and risks, and integrate usability research for customer-centric design.

  • Strong knowledge of product journey mapping, business process improvement, and OKR management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; customer-facing experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in group benefits business preferred.

Compensation Overview

Salary Range: $118,980.00 - $195,465.00 (USD, yearly). This good faith estimate is for the primary Boston location. Final salary based on education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.

Role Description
