Role Description

As a Product Owner, Wealth Management at Guardian Life, you'll bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution. Supporting our Wealth Management business, you'll translate product vision into actionable tasks, ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. This role demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, stakeholders, and senior leaders.

Working in an Agile environment, you'll prioritize backlogs, refine requirements, and drive sprint deliveries. Under the guidance of a senior Product Owner, you'll hone Agile practices while contributing to wealth management solutions like retirement planning tools, investment platforms, and advisory services. This position offers hands-on experience in financial product management, perfect for professionals passionate about fintech and wealth solutions.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the product backlog using deep knowledge of business processes, ensuring alignment with overall product vision, strategy, and wealth management functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as IT, marketing, and compliance—to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements for wealth management products.
• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and meeting notes.
• Monitor product development progress, ensuring features are sprint-ready, timelines are met, and deliverables meet quality standards.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to foster continuous improvement.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including financial advisors and clients, to validate that products meet customer needs and business objectives in wealth management.
• Support the team in mastering Agile product management fundamentals, best practices, and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Lead projects or project phases within larger initiatives, applying root cause analysis to resolve issues efficiently.
• Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for enhancing wealth management offerings, such as digital tools for portfolio management.

• Proven track record developing and managing product backlogs aligned with vision and strategy.
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, and analytical skills for requirements gathering.
• Excellent documentation abilities for user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, ceremonies, and tools.
• Superior communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience supporting Agile best practices implementation.

Compensation Overview

The salary range for this position is $79,310.00 - $130,295.00 annually, based on the primary location in Bethlehem, United States. Final pay is determined by education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. In addition to base salary, this role may include annual incentives, sales bonuses, or other performance-based compensation.
