Role Description

The Sales Analyst serves as the key field resource for Sales Representatives and Client Management teams in the Premier Market segment. You'll manage RFP inventory, new business submissions, and add-issue processes while adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Balancing client needs with business goals, you'll leverage strong product knowledge, negotiation skills, and Guardian's tech stack—including Salesforce, Excel, Outlook, CPS, Adobe, SharePoint, and Access—to deliver competitive, accurate, and profitable quotes. Collaborate across Rating, Underwriting, Onboarding, and external producers to drive sales wins and ensure seamless transitions from quote to implementation.

Detailed Responsibilities

Inventory Management & RFP Processing

  • Review RFP data to identify received information and gaps needed for underwriting and quoting.
  • Partner with Rating and Quoting teams to track proposals against due dates.
  • Lead team meetings to review inventory status and prioritize workloads.
  • Analyze RFPs and customer buying triggers to recommend optimal benefit/rate options.
  • Engage stakeholders like dental recruitment, BenTech, Worksite, and Enrollment for comprehensive proposal strategies.

Sales Support & Negotiations

  • Negotiate rates, exceptions, and approvals directly with Underwriting.
  • Discuss RFP details, plan designs, and multi-line options with producers and assistants.
  • Build lasting relationships with underwriters, brokers, and staff to meet customer needs profitably.
  • Proactively follow up on quotes to assess competitiveness and gather post-mortem insights.
  • Finalize sold quotes with Sales Reps/Underwriters and hand off to Onboarding per SOP.
  • Provide backup support to team members and act as SME on Guardian systems/procedures.

Role Description
