Role Description

As Senior Manager, External Communications - Financial Advisor Network, you'll shape and lead a scalable communications and PR program. Collaborate with our home office external communications team to leverage Guardian's thought leadership, news, and initiatives. Design repeatable processes for maximum impact, ensuring cohesion with Guardian’s brand and business strategies. Foster strong advisor relationships, encourage participation in communications, and champion modern strategies including AI and emerging technologies. This role is ideal for strategic communicators passionate about financial advisor networks, PR in financial services, and driving visibility in wealth management and insurance.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable PR frameworks, advisor enablement resources (toolkits, templates, guidelines) to amplify advisor visibility and expertise in personal finance and retirement planning.
  • Serve as liaison between Guardian’s home office external communications and financial advisors' marketing teams; build trusted relationships, establish outreach rhythms, and host training sessions on best practices.
  • Lead coordinated initiatives including press releases, pitches, byline articles, briefing documents, talking points, speaking engagements, key messages, social posts, newsletters, and performance reporting.
  • Partner with home office marketing to integrate into existing advisor support channels and identify new tactics for financial advisor visibility in insurance and wealth management.
  • Define KPIs, track program effectiveness, and use data analytics to refine strategies.
  • Champion AI-driven tools and emerging media trends for innovative, scalable PR in a fast-evolving landscape.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships across large-scale networks of 2,700+ advisors.
  • Support additional team responsibilities as needed.

  • Experience with modern tools like AI for PR scalability.

Compensation Overview

Salary Range: $103,450 - $169,960 (USD, base pay). Actual salary based on education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligible for annual, sales, or other incentives. Located in New York, United States (Hudson Yards, NY – hybrid).
