Role Description

The Senior Product Owner, Self Service Strategy, is a pivotal role embedded within our business units, collaborating closely with technical leads to drive a high-performing team of developers and QA professionals. You'll own the end-to-end digital experience for key personas—such as plan holders/employers, brokers, members, or dental providers (assigned during interview process). Reporting to the Product Manager, Self-Service Strategy, you'll translate visionary product strategies into actionable backlogs, prioritize enhancements, and ensure compliance-driven solutions that delight customers and partners. This hybrid position in Boston offers the perfect blend of collaboration and flexibility as we innovate in benefits administration, claims management, and broker technology.

Detailed Responsibilities

You Will:

  • Translate Guardian's product vision for online self-service portals and mobile apps into actionable team backlogs, including detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and tasks aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to prioritize process improvements, track progress via OKRs, and deliver transparent updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Product Managers, business stakeholders, and technical leads to build high-impact digital solutions.
  • Act as the vital bridge between customer-facing teams and internal IT, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on requirements.
  • Document comprehensive business and technical requirements for both strategic initiatives and tactical enhancements.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of developers and testers, fostering execution excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive go-to-market readiness, release planning, and integration of customer research/feedback into development cycles.
  • Ensure all digital solutions meet regulatory compliance standards, including data privacy and AI governance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve issues and optimize product roadmaps for maximum value.
  • Champion product journey mapping and business process improvements to enhance user experiences across personas.

Compensation Overview

Salary Range: $118,980.00 - $195,465.00 USD (yearly base pay). This good faith estimate reflects the primary Boston location. Final salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation, plus comprehensive benefits.

Role Description
