Role Description

As a Technical Lead Software Engineer reporting to the Value Stream D&T Leader, you'll be the hands-on technical authority for products or platforms within Guardian's Digital & Technology team. Guide engineering squads to deliver secure, scalable, high-performing solutions aligned with Guardian's architectural and delivery standards. Partner with Product Managers to translate business outcomes into technical roadmaps, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence in agile environments.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and technical delivery for one or more agile squads in software engineering projects.
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, application support, and test automation strategies.
• Manage team-level dependencies in partnership with Product Owners to ensure seamless delivery.
• Continuously identify opportunities to optimize team performance and processes.
• Collaborate with Product, COEs, Data, AI, Architecture, and QA teams for technical alignment.
• Conduct rigorous design and code reviews to uphold quality, scalability, supportability, and security.
• Mentor engineers, driving skill development and technical depth across the team.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and architect long-term, sustainable solutions.
• Drive adoption of SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native technologies.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps, influencing architecture and modernization strategies.
• Write, deploy, and maintain code or configurations to support product teams.

Compensation Overview

The base salary range for this Technical Lead Software Engineering position in Holmdel, NJ is $118,980.00 - $195,465.00 annually. Actual pay is determined by education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Eligible for annual incentives, sales bonuses, or other compensation.
