We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Bakewell, Australia. As a key member of our management team, you will support the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient team performance.

• Lead and motivate the restaurant team during busy service periods, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
• Train and develop crew members, focusing on skill improvement and career growth
• Proactively enhance guest experience through attentive service and prompt issue resolution
• Support inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising waste
• Assist in financial management tasks, including cash handling and basic budgeting
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to implement new initiatives and improve operational efficiency
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, striving for high customer satisfaction
• Assist in creating staff rotas and managing shift schedules
• Contribute to menu planning and special promotions, considering local preferences and seasonal availability

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a team within a busy, high-volume hospitality environment
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for inspiring, leading, and developing team members
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, including familiarity with local standards
