Description

The Cook is at the heart of the restaurant operations. You will be preparing fresh and delicious food, problem solving and weighing-in with expertise on vibrant Mexican flavours. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise fresh ingredients to produce high standard products for our new and regular guests.

• Prepare and cook food items according to GYG recipes and standards
• Assist in kitchen operations, including food prep and cooking
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely order fulfillment
• Handle and store ingredients and supplies properly
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
• Respond to customer inquiries and special requests in a friendly, customer-focused manner
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Experience is helpful, but it’s not everything. What we mean is:

• Kitchen experience is great but not essential
• Is open to coaching, eager to learn and ready to put in the effort
• ‘Can do’ attitude and can be relied upon
