Handshake is seeking experienced Private Detectives and Investigators to participate in a temporary, hourly AI research project. No prior AI experience is required. This role involves leveraging your professional expertise to evaluate AI model outputs, assess content related to the field, and provide clear, structured feedback to enhance the model's understanding of workplace tasks and language. This is a year-round opportunity with projects opening periodically across various areas of expertise.

This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA. This allows you to balance your work with other commitments and eliminates the need for commuting. You can contribute your expertise to AI development without being tied to a specific location.

What are the minimum qualifications?
You must have at least 4 years of professional experience as a Private Detective or Investigator.
Is prior AI experience required?
No, prior AI experience is not required. We're looking for your expertise in private investigation.
How many hours per week are required?
There is no minimum commitment, but most participants average 5-20 hours per week.
What type of work will I be doing?
You'll be developing prompts for AI models and evaluating their responses based on your field experience.
Is this a remote position?
Yes, this is a fully remote and asynchronous position.
What if there are no projects available right away?
Project availability varies. If you apply now and a project isn't immediately available, more opportunities will be opening soon.
Can international students apply?
F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible. Work with your Designated School Official to determine eligibility. STEM OPT is not supported.
What skills will I learn?
You'll learn new skills in AI training, prompt engineering, and AI model evaluation.
How will I be compensated?
