• Define essential quality inspections for plastic parts in line with engineering drawings and compile detailed reports.
• Establish and refine work processes and procedures, including drafting and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Champion continuous improvement of quality and measurement processes across the department.
• Implement waste reduction strategies using Lean methodology to enhance efficiency.
• Lead risk management through PFMEA analysis and proactively address potential issues.
• Manage deviations, nonconformities, failure investigations, and complaints from internal and external customers.
• Promote and execute plant-wide improvement projects.
• Monitor process failures using Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
• Conduct and support internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Provide technical support for injection molding at subcontractor sites.
• Maintain measuring equipment and manage jigs, from design and ordering to implementation.
• Train, mentor, and onboard new employees in quality best practices.
• Offer expert guidance on process issues and accompany special setups, first injections, or problematic runs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A relevant academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Materials Science, or Chemistry.
• Quality Engineer certification or CQE – a significant advantage.
