Role Overview

The Head of Trade Marketing - Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Foods is a senior leadership position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. This role oversees end-to-end trade marketing for PepsiCo Foods' portfolio, designing and executing channel and category programs to drive volume growth and embody the 'perfect store' agenda. Responsibilities span promotion planning, in-store visibility, field incentives, sampling, and trade investment reviews. You'll set the strategic direction for Snacks and Hot Cereals/Breakfast Cereal categories, onboard distributors and commercial teams, and ensure execution excellence for optimal ROI. Key Responsibilities

Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution Excellence

Lead monthly cycle meetings and collaborate with distributor teams to develop trade bulletins, ensuring clear communication of national campaigns and channel executions. Track innovation pipelines and performance against Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments for sustained growth.

Promotion Deployment and Management

Identify key accounts for national promotions, align allocations based on growth targets, and develop channel-exclusive promotions to close sales gaps. Oversee co-packing, product rework, promo tracking, and post-promotion evaluations to share learnings and optimize future initiatives.

Point of Sale Materials (POSM) Development and Deployment

Create execution plans for POSM aligned with sales and marketing strategies. Partner with agencies to design impactful BTL communications, propose display supports for visibility, and ensure timely in-store placement with monthly tracking reports.

In-Store Activation Management

Lead activations, sampling, and consumer engagement initiatives per marketing campaigns. Manage agency appointments, promoter training, and execution reviews to deliver exceptional brand representation.

Agency/Vendor Management

Source and appoint vendors for activations, sampling, premiums, promotions, and POSM. Support negotiations on pricing and scope to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Office Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of experience in trade marketing and/or sales operations within the FMCG or related industry is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required, with experience in data analytics tools like PowerBI or SAP as a plus. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills are critical, particularly in collaborating with distributors, retailers, and cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal business English communication skills are necessary to influence leaders, partners, and vendors effectively.
