About the Role

Reporting directly to the site Hub Manager, the Delivery Operations Supervisor will provide on-shift leadership to staff and will oversee all Hub-related activities, including sortation operations, vehicle loading, and on-road delivery operations. Providing front-line leadership, you will own the day-to-day operations of the business, coordinate vehicle capacity, and serve as the primary support person for hourly staff. Safety is of the utmost importance at HelloFresh and you will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, reporting, and ensuring all policies and procedures are followed. You will help shape and scale an industry-leading chilled last-mile delivery operation in your region, delivering thousands of freshly produced meal boxes directly to our customers each and every day.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage a team of Warehouse Associates and Delivery Associates to meet quality standards, achieve performance metrics, and execute the delivery processes end-to-end
  • Accountability for health & safety compliance, recordkeeping, reporting and investigation
  • Meeting and exceeding service KPIs, and responding to customer service requests and escalations
  • Conduct team huddles to convey safety messaging, and quality tips, and maintain engagement and open communication with employees
  • When required, supervise the sortation operation, and loading process, and perform dispatching functions for drivers while on-road. Direct activities and provide training, coaching, and guidance
  • Management of employee scheduling, time & attendance, and performance reviews
  • Ensure communication on maintenance, availability, and security of all HelloFresh assets along with the Fleet Asset Specialist
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, GMP, and policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies.
  • Build an inclusive workplace culture and relationships with all staff, delivering on development and retention goals
  • Operate a lean facility by making recommendations to improve and implement new processes
  • Design, develop, and implement warehousing and delivery training programs
  • Provide coverage for the Hub Manager when required
  • Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in supply chain, transportation, or fulfillment companies
  • 2+ years of direct management experience of employees, contingent workforce, or third-party resources in a large-scale environment
  • Valid Class 5 license (or equivalent in Canadian Province)
  • Meet schedules/timelines and organize your work. Can reliably work alternative and flexible work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Leadership experience motivating and encouraging others
  • Basic proficiency in manipulating data and reporting
  • Can lift 50 lbs and participate in physical job activities such as standing, walking, and crouching daily. Can work in an environment that may be hot, cold, and noisy.
  • A forklift, Reach Truck, or Stacker Operator, Electrical Power Jack license is ideal, but we will train the right candidates
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
