Job Description

Your Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer (all genders) at HelloFresh and Factor, you will ensure the production lines run efficiently. You will focus on maximizing machine uptime, selecting modern technology, and leading innovation projects. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, install new systems, and conduct training to maintain the highest production standards. Additionally, you will coordinate with other departments such as Logistics, Production, Quality, Health & Safety, and Maintenance & Facilities.

This position is based at HelloFresh SE in Berlin and supports the development and expansion of the production facility of our subsidiary, Factor, in Verden (Aller), near Bremen. Therefore, the workplace will be in Verden. Please note that this position is initially limited to 24 months, with the possibility of a permanent contract.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement improvement projects to increase efficiency, volume, reduce costs, improve safety, and optimize product quality (from concept to implementation).
  • Analyze and optimize production processes by applying in-depth knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and production workflows.
  • Create and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), prepare and submit regulatory documentation, and communicate project results to all relevant stakeholders (in English).
  • Present project outcomes and propose technical solutions based on comprehensive benchmarking, root cause analysis, data analysis, and proven engineering principles.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams (Production, Logistics, Quality, Health & Safety, Maintenance & Facilities) to successfully achieve project goals.

  • Excellent in project management, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while efficiently managing deadlines and resources.

You have…

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Several years of professional experience in food manufacturing.
  • Several years of experience in selecting, analyzing, and optimizing production equipment to make the right decisions for cost and efficiency improvements.
  • Several years of experience in engineering and project management within a production environment, focusing on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • A Lean Six Sigma certification and experience with Kaizen are advantageous.
  • Practical experience in a production technical environment, including handling and maintaining production equipment and working closely with operators.
  • Fluent in both German and English (C1 level), with the ability to communicate effectively locally and internationally and create technical documentation.
