The Role (What’s in the Box)

As HelloFresh grows, so does our Finance team! In Finance, we like to think of ourselves as allrounders — not only experts in accounting standards, but also partners to the wider business, supporting workflows, decision-making, and scalable processes.

As a Tax & Reporting Accountant, you’ll play a key role in strengthening Nordics accounting processes, working closely with our Head of Accounting & Controlling. You will handle both day-to-day responsibilities and forward-looking tax and reporting initiatives.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support critical tax compliance obligations, and contribute directly to HelloFresh’s mission to change the way people eat — forever.

What You’ll Do (The Recipe)

• Audit and reconcile tariffs with importers to validate accuracy and reduce tariff expenses
• Analyze and manage VAT & corporate tax deductions for Swedish representation expenses, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased recovery
• Prepare quarterly corporate tax accruals and ensure timely submission of preliminary tax payments and assessments, liaising with third-party tax advisors
• Drive local transfer pricing compliance, including preparing files and required submissions in collaboration with group tax
• Prepare local annual statutory accounts and coordinate with external audit teams for final approval and submission
• Maintain continuous tax compliance, including preparing timely submissions and tracking relevant tax law changes to mitigate risk
• Prepare and lodge required governmental and regulatory statistics reporting filings
• Participate in half-year and year-end audit
• Support automation projects across the team
• Contribute to continuous improvements and the month-end close process, tech/tool enhancements, and ad-hoc accounting projects
  
  

What You’ll Bring (Your Ingredients)

• Passion, drive, and excellent communication skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian local tax law
• 4+ years' experience working in the finance industry
• Experience in a fast-paced environment; experience with physical goods and inventory is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of data structures and complex workflows
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Interest in financial systems, ideally with exposure to an ERP system
• Danish language required
