The beautiful Embassy Suites Alexandria Old Town is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to join their leadership team! This 288-suite property's restaurant, the Atrium Lounge, offers a relaxed dining area that serves up plates such as flatbreads, pizzas, sandwiches and salads! Guests can also utilize In-Room Dining and the hotel has an additional 11,052 square feet of meeting space. 

This position reports to the Executive Chef & B and will supervise as many as 10 front and back of house team members per shift. In this role, you will be a hands-on leader who spends most of their time on the floor touching tables/interfacing with team members! 

Ideal candidates for the position will possess one year of food and beverage leadership experience, in a hospitality focused setting with an emphasis on team culture.

What will I be doing?

As a Food & Beverage Manager, you will direct and organize the activities of the Food & Beverage outlets to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. This includes but is not limited to:

• Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
• Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
• Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
• Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
• Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff. #LI-GL1
