The Senior Bartender plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional guest experience at our luxury hotel bar. This position is responsible for crafting premium beverages, maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation, and leading by example to ensure an engaging and sophisticated atmosphere. The Senior Bartender supports the Outlet Manager in daily operations, supervises junior team members, and contributes to menu innovation and guest satisfaction.

What will I be doing?

A Senior Bartender will be responsible for engaging our guests during their visit, receiving/serving orders and ensuring brand service standards are met to the highest quality. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard.  

• Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages to the highest standards.

• Provide personalized recommendations and engage with guests to create memorable bar experiences.

• Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and service.

• Maintain bar mise-en-place, cleanliness, and hygiene in compliance with hotel standards and local regulations.

• Manage stock levels, requisitions, and par levels efficiently.

• Supervise and guide bartenders during service.

• Support training and development of new team members, ensuring product knowledge and service excellence.

• Lead by example in upholding brand values, grooming standards, and guest engagement expectations.

• Contribute to the development of new cocktails and seasonal beverage menus that reflect current trends and the bar’s concept.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mixology techniques, premium spirits, and luxury beverage offerings

• Participate in hotel promotions, events, and activations.

• Ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.

• Monitor beverage costs and wastage, proposing measures to improve efficiency.

• Comply with all licensing laws, health and safety, and responsible service of alcohol guidelines

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Bartender in a luxury hotel or high-end bar environment.
• Strong mixology skills with a proven track record of creating innovative cocktails.
• Flexibility in hours as you will be working rostered shifts, especially on weekends
• Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills
• Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations
• Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
