Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Civil Construction Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Key accountabilities: 

• Plan, lead, and oversee construction activities based on signalling and functional documentation.

• Manage the Civil Construction team and subcontractors for ETCS L2 project delivery and coordinate all construction site activities according to the project plan.

• Manage the ITP Process and ensure ITPs are signed off by stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Optimize project resources, both internal and external, to meet milestones and deliverables.

• Collaborate with the HSE team to define site safety requirements and implement HSE initiatives in compliance with regulations.

• Ensure HSE compliance, defining site safety requirements, and implementing initiatives.

• Provide regular progress reports on construction activities and resource performance evaluations.

Education and experience:

• 5+ years in civil supervision in a rail and civil construction environment

• Construction White Card

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

• Current Class A Drivers License

• Experience in concrete and foundation works.

• Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.

• Outstanding planning and organisational skills.

• Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.

• Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
