Location Type: This is predominately an onsite role requiring four days onsite in office in either our Holland, MI or Nashville, TN site.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.

  • Lead, develop and manage commodity strategies.

  • Own the Preferred Supplier List for your categories.

  • Manage supplier issues while supporting current suppliers; as well as develop new suppliers for your categories as needed.

  • Assist Divisional Supply Chain (SCM Manager/Buyers) in negotiating project related material, inventory tools and customer specified items.

  • Be a resource for all JR employees, by leading and working within cross functional teams.

  • Create and drive cost savings initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the quoting, engineering, project management and build teams to understand needs and drive cost effective solutions.

  • Identify and manage risks at all levels of the supply chain.

  • Develop and drive strategic programs focused on reducing overall cost and improving supplier engagement and performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate.

  • Be able to work in a global environment.

  • Be able to communicate to all levels of the organization across all geographic regions.

  • Always conduct oneself in a manner that is distinguished by a high level of professionalism and ethics.

  • Lead continuous improvements of sourcing and purchasing processes.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business & Management, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 7-10 years of procurement experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities.

  • Capability to lead and influence individuals, guiding them to achieve desired objectives and complete tasks.

  • Proficiency in presenting ideas and goals in a way that inspires others to follow.

  • Excellent negotiation and planning abilities in a project-based environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • CPSM Certification is a plus.
