The opportunity :

Deploy and maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture in their local organization, according to defined strategy by GPG/HBU. Apply L6S and other CI methodologies to improve efficiency, meeting or exceeding customer expectations and sustainable operations. Create transparency by monitoring progress of improvements within their organization. Support the harmonization of best practices to deliver consistent results. Implement CI objectives in alignment with the strategy. Typically driving CI projects and Kaizen events in their organization. All aspects managed in line with Hitachi Energy regulations

How you’ll make an impact :

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma tools such as VSM, SMED, Standard Work, TPM, OEE, MSA… in the production line to eliminate waste and improve plant productivity.

  • Follow Production processes to ensure production complies with ITM Deployment plan.

  • Sustain daily Tier Accountability meetings & SQDIC boards;

  • Responsible for 5S and Visual Management of factory. Practical Problem-Solving coordinator: support and monitor project implementation (familiar with problem solving methods such as 5-Whys, Fishbone diagram, SIPOC…)

  • Support all functions to do Kaizen: idea collection, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Take lead in related Improvement Projects (DMAIC, PDCA, 8D, A3) to improve productivity and create cost saving.

  • Working with Regional/ Product Line Leads to implement CI (ITM) related work.

  • Support other functions to do Improvement Projects in Relex system.

  • Join with Quality team to solve related hot quality issues to support Corrective Action Deployment & Verification.

  • Join the factory Gemba walk program assigned by Manager. Participating in customer audits, ISO audits, and Internal audits. Lean Six Sigma tools training and support to other functions. Other jobs assigned by Head of Quality & Opex Manager. Comply with company rules including Safety and Integrity.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Education: have a university degree or higher (Technical background: major in mechanical or electrical engineering)

  • Experience:  at least 10 years hands-on working experience in similar position in a manufacturing industry environment.

  • Specific knowledge: Specialized knowledge in transformer manufacturing processes and Lean manufacturing. Lean Six Sigma Green belt certificate or above is an advantage

  • Skills:  Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel

  • Good English (reading, writing, speaking, listening) & computer skills, good in time management and organization skills.

  • Ability to read and draw technical drawings, experience in designing tools, jigs, fixtures

  • Understanding of Power BI and Visual Basic is a plus

  • Technical oriented

  • Good in Communication skills, Presentation Skills, Negotiation Skills

  • Innovative and Creative

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
