Job title: Facilities Manager

Location: London, Bounds Green

Salary: Between 60-70k DOE


Your new role

We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the day‑to‑day management of our Bounds Green Train Maintenance Centre. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll take full accountability for site infrastructure, safety and compliance, contractor management and facilities budgets – all within a complex, safety‑critical rail environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and developing a local facilities team and managing specialist contractors

  • Ensuring all building, plant, systems and equipment are safe, compliant and well maintained

  • Owning site compliance, audits and statutory obligations (including Legionella)

  • Managing the facilities budget, reporting and asset data

  • Working closely with depot leadership to support safe, efficient train operations

About you

  • Proven facilities management experience in an industrial or engineering environment

  • Strong knowledge of compliance, contractor control and asset management

  • Confident people leader with a proactive, hands‑on approach

  • Relevant electrical, mechanical or facilities qualifications (or equivalent experience)          

  • BIFM Facilities Management (Or relevant experience/qualification)

  • Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Certificate in Environmental Work Place Safety and Standards. (Or relevant experience/qualification)

  • Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) certification in Managing Safely. (Or relevant experience/qualification)
