The Opportunity: 

The Global Contract Administrator at Hitachi Energy is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of internal contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices across Hitachi's global operations.

This role is critical in supporting various finance functions by facilitating efficient and effective contract execution and administration.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: * Administer the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing,
    executing, tracking, and renewing a wide range of global contracts (e.g., mainly service agreements).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: * Work closely with internal stakeholders globally to understand business needs and
    ensure contracts accurately reflect agreed-upon terms and conditions.
  • Contract Repository Management: * Maintain and manage a centralized global contract repository system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of all contractual documentation.
  • Process Improvement: * Identify opportunities to streamline contract administration processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices across various regions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: * Generate reports on contract status, key terms, compliance metrics, and potential risks for management review.
  • Dispute Resolution Support: * Provide support in resolving contractual disputes or claims by reviewing contract terms and relevant documentation.
  • Training and Guidance: * Offer guidance and training to internal teams on contractual processes, policies, and best practices.

Your Background:

  • Education: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., paralegal certification, contract management
    certification) is a plus.
  • Experience: * Experience in contract administration and contract management preferably within a large multinational corporation.
  • Legal & Contractual Knowledge: * Sound understanding of contract law principles, terms and conditions, and various contract types. Familiarity with international business law and cross-border contractual nuances is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to interpret complex contractual language and identify potential issues.
  • Communication Skills: * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages relevant to Hitachi's global operations (e.g., Japanese, German, Spanish) is a significant advantage.
  • Negotiation Skills: * Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to contract negotiations effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Proficient in using contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and legal research tools.
  • Attention to Detail: * Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of contract drafting and review
  • Interpersonal Skills: * Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
