You will be part of the Hitachi Energy HVDC C&C Installation Department, which is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for our installed base of HVDC Valves worldwide. The department also supports engineering and development teams with feedback from the field to continuously improve our products and solutions.

As HVDC Valve Maintenance Engineer you must be willing to travel far, frequently and on short notice. You also must be a European citizen.

We are looking for four new team members, based in either Ludvika or Västerås.

How you will make an impact

  • Your main mission will be to perform maintenance and service activities on HVDC Valves and Valve Cooling systems in high voltage global projects
  • Conduct troubleshooting and fault investigations on HVDC Valves and associated systems
  • Execute mechanical replacements and repairs of valve components and cooling system equipment
  • Perform testing and verification of repaired or replaced equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with standards
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders regarding maintenance and operational issues
  • Contribute to planning and preparation of maintenance activities and ensure efficient execution in accordance with safety and quality requirements
  • Coordinate with engineering office to assure correct documentation is used during maintenance and provide feedback for as-built documentation

Your background

  • You have a technical education, preferably with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • You have several years of work experience within relevant fields
  • Previous experience in maintenance and service work on complex electrical or mechanical systems is required
  • Experience from troubleshooting and fault analysis in large-scale projects is advantageous
  • Previous experience from HVDC, FACTS or Substation projects is preferred
  • Proficiency in English is a must, written and spoken alike, whereas additional languages are a plus
