The opportunity

As a Logistic specialist, you will report to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager and be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of outbound flows from the factory, packing operations, and inbound flows to the factory, including kitting preparation, goods receipt, and goods issue.

You will track performance and KPIs (pick & pack, OTD, kit readiness, WIP aging), run governance routines with internal stakeholders (PM, Production, 3PL, Quality, Industrialization) and external providers. The focus is to ensure safety, quality compliance, and on-time delivery while minimizing overall costs.

The role also includes duties as appointed safety supervisor, monitoring activities and supervising 3PL operations.

Work arrangement: on‑site presence at the Lodi factory, with frequent visits to our logistics network located within ~1h30’ travel radius from the plant; day‑shift schedule.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, outbound shipping, packing, inbound receiving, and kitting.
  • Own performance tracking and visual management for pick & pack productivity, OTD, kit completeness & readiness, WIP visibility and aging.
  • Identify bottlenecks; drive actions to improve lead time and delivery adherence, meeting agreed KPIs.
  • Support cost and space optimization through layout tweaks, capacity/wave planning, and efficient use of warehouse areas.
  • Sustain and improve processes with safety first policy; act as coordinator overseeing logistic operations overseeing material preparation, document readiness and compliance to Group Policies.
  • Implement and maintain layout for kitting and sequencing to minimize handling and travel distance.
  • Ensure material feeding to production is timely and accurate while maintaining minimum WIP.
  • Forecast space and resource needs considering inventory policy, ramp up/ramp down and equipment/operator utilization.
  • Define the FG delivery package to ensure picking & packing efficiency, safety and cost effectiveness.
  • Standardize inbound/outbound and packing procedures; ensure team and 3PL meet operational and HSE targets.
  • Lead/participate lean activities (5S, Visual Management, VSM, layout & flow improvements).
  • With HR support, ensure the area is organized, staffed, trained and directed to standard.
  • Run governance meetings (agenda and action log) with PM, Production, Quality, Industrialization and external providers.

Your background

  • Bachelor in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) or High school Diploma with technical background.
  • 4–6 years in warehouse/logistics operations, with hands‑on experience in outbound, packing and inbound/kitting.
  • Knowledge of factory operational processes; familiarity with SAP (MM/PP/WM or EWM); Excel advanced; Power BI is a plus.
  • Practical Lean/OpEx/CI skills (5S, A3, VSM); strong KPI management and problem solving.
  • Excellent organization and communication; capability to facilitate governance routines with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written).
  • Experience supervising 3PL operations and HSE compliance; readiness to act as person in charge during operational activities.
