The opportunity

As an experienced Manufacturing Quality Assurance Professional at Hitachi Energy India Limited, you will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing the quality of our manufactured products. You will be responsible for Customer complaint handling, implementing and monitoring robust quality systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our production processes.


How you’ll make an impact

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.

  • Lead and conduct internal and external audits (supplier, customer, and regulatory) to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Analyze manufacturing processes, identify potential quality risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Collaborate with engineering, technical, production, and supply chain teams to establish quality control points and ensure adherence to product specifications and manufacturing procedures.

  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, determine root causes, and drive effective resolution strategies.

  • Coordinate in driving Corrective Action Program, ensuring effective resolution to Customer non-conformities.

  • Develop and deliver quality training programs for manufacturing personnel to enhance quality awareness and competence.

  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor process performance and drive data-driven improvements.

  • Prepare and present quality performance reports, metrics, and trends to management.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, new quality technologies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical).

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the power, EMC or heavy engineering industry.

  • Proven expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 and experience with audit processes (internal, external, supplier).

  • Strong understanding and practical application of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, Lean, Six Sigma).

  • Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, Power BI, Matlab).

  • Certifications such as ISO9001 Internal Auditing, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt will be added advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
