The Opportunity

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Hitachi Energy is seeking a Process Optimization Engineer to join our team during off-shift hours. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to improving operational efficiency, driving Lean initiatives, and supporting cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, quality, and more.

You’ll work hands-on to analyze operations, develop smarter processes, and ensure our systems run smoothly and safely. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your engineering career while helping shape the future of sustainable energy. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.






How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Monitor and assess production flow, operator movement, and equipment layout.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean methodologies.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain Work Instructions and Standard Work documentation.
  • Collaborate with teams across production, ITM, maintenance, quality, and procurement.
  • Identify and execute CAPEX and cost-reduction projects.
  • Solve operational challenges while ensuring HSE and quality compliance.
  • Use engineering software to analyze data and generate reports.





Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator across diverse teams and disciplines.
  • Proficient in engineering software and data analysis tools.
