The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineers to join our team. This role is designed for recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the energy sector, specifically within the manufacturing continuous process industry.

How you will make an impact:

  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation equipment such as sensors, transmitters, PLCs, and control valves.

  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities under supervision.

  • Learn and apply process control principles and instrumentation standards.

  • Participate in troubleshooting of instrumentation faults and assist in root cause analysis.

  • Work with senior engineers to monitor system performance and suggest improvements.

  • Maintain documentation including loop diagrams, calibration records, and maintenance logs.

  • Understand and follow safety protocols and industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and production departments.

  • Always work safely and hold others to the same expectation Support the Integrated Transformer Management (ITM) system to drive sustainable performance in the key operations performance dimensions of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost (SQDIC).

  • Maintain a safe, clean & organized area you are working in/completed work in Safely use the correct hand & power tools to complete a given task Safely operate industrial machinery and equipment Safely complete Electrical & Instrumentation related tasks and projects.

  • Replacing faulty electrical & electronic components (relays, switches, motors, Drives, Valves, PT’s, sensors, circuit breakers, PCB's, PLC's) co-ordinate replacing faulty mechanical hydraulic & pneumatic components (gears, springs, wheels, belts, pulleys, hoses, pumps, valves, actuators, filters, consistency regulators). Ensure material & spares are monitored & stored.

  • Respond to corrective maintenance requests & close them out by effectively & safely repairing machinery & equipment and related items.

  • Report on & help troubleshoot problems with machinery, equipment, parts, and facilities related items before a failure has occurred through diagnostics and testing. Logbook maintenance, Audit support activities.

  • Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes. Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects more complex machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning. May make calculations as well as assist with numeric controlled programming.

  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on-time; including lubricating and cleaning parts and machinery and equipment to maintain machinery & equipment in good clean working order Help define and maintain critical spare parts inventory Any other assigned tasks from management.

  • Responsibilities may include Most of problems are not routine and require analysis to understand. Works under very limited supervision. Provides assistance, training and may also delegate and review the work of lower employees.

  • Responsible for supporting new projects & development activities.

Your background:

  • Full time Regular Diploma or Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or Mechatronics. Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook) .

  • Minimum relevant experience of 5 to 6 years with total experience not exceeding 8 years.

  • Basic understanding of industrial instrumentation, control systems and automation.

  • Familiarity with PLC/DCS systems, HART protocol, and field instrumentation is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced industrial environment.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize corrective maintenance requests /Ability to solve maintenance related problems.

  • Ability to work without close supervision Self-motivated, aggressive & team oriented. Spending time on your feet walking or standing.

  • Ability to work in shifts & general as per management requirement.
