The opportunity
Join our Next Generation Grids Transformers team in Lodz and shape the future of energy. As an R&D Engineer – dielectric design and integration, you will work on cutting-edge medium voltage transformer and power converter technologies in a dynamic, international environment.
You’ll be part of a collaborative global team, contributing to the full R&D lifecycle—from concept to testing and product launch, ensuring that our solutions meet both technical specifications and market demands. This role offers hands-on experience, technical growth, and the chance to make a real impact in the energy transition.
How you will make an impact
Apply your knowledge of dielectric design to support innovative medium voltage transformer and power converter integration and enclosure concepts
Contribute to all stages of product development from analysis, modeling and simulation to prototype testing and final productization
Organize validation activities of new technologies and products in collaboration with global teams
Align your work with our strategic technology roadmap
Take ownership of work packages and deliver results using a structured approach
Contribute to intellectual property and risk management activities in R&D
Your background
MSc or PhD in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, ideally with experience in R&D within a business environment
Good understanding of medium voltage transformers and power electronic converter operation as well dielectric behaviours and standards
Experience with different dielectric mediums: e.g. air, solid (dry), fluid
Good knowledge of FEM modelling SW, such as COMSOL and Ansys. Basic mechanical design skills in 3D CAD would be a plus.
Strong communication skills in English
Analytical thinking and ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary and international teams
