Job Summary

As a Senior Program Manager at Hitachi, Ltd., you will be instrumental in leading and delivering complex, multi-faceted programs that align with our strategic objectives. You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and successful completion of critical initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, technical understanding, and exceptional communication skills to navigate diverse stakeholder environments and drive innovative solutions.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for overall co-ordination with the Employer, Engineer, Interface Contractors, and any other relevant project stakeholders.
  • Responsible for taking timely decision and directions in order to facilitate the project completion without time and cost overrun.
  • Responsible for proper implementation of the Contract in compliance with the Employer’s Specifications and internal processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for providing a professional, consistent and effective Project leadership to the project and subcontractors including resolution of issues and disputes with local partners/subcontractors.
  • Accountable for all commercial and financial matters of the assigned project/s in order to guarantee the achievement of the financial targets in terms of Cost, Revenues, Invoicing and Cash-in.
  • Responsible for project stakeholder management in order to ensure regular and effective communication, prioritization and customer satisfaction (monitoring and applying preventive/corrective action) including the resolution of issues and disputes;
  • Support, during bidding phase, for the proper collection of budget proposal, time schedule and final validation of bidding whole life cost estimation, revenues, margin and associated risk.
  • Exhibit a proactive world class safety culture on Project ensuring that all staff follow safe systems of work procedures
  • Lead and manage the full program lifecycle from initiation to closure, including scope definition, planning, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.



Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in program management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership capacity managing large-scale, complex programs, preferably within a global technology company.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering challenging technical programs on time and within budget.
* Strong understanding of various program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and proficiency with program management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed organizational structure.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
* Experience with [specific industry domain relevant to Hitachi, e.g., IoT, AI, Cloud Computing, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing IT] is a significant plus.
