What you’ll be doing

The purpose of this role is to perform financial accounting activities for European countries with focus on treasury related activities. The role will be responsible for cash management and banking activities, General Ledger accounting and month end close activities and ensuring its compliance with Accounting Policies, J-SOX and Internal Procedures. The role will interact with Finance Managers, Hitachi Treasury Center, FP&A and Controllership teams, Finance Centre Shared Services teams, external and internal auditors and banks. The role is also responsible for identifying continuous improvement initiatives to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.

 

The role will also be responsible for:

• Cash Forecasting and Cash Management

• Cash Accounting

• Cash pool accounts control

• Unidentified cash resolution

• Payment approvals in the bank platforms

• Foreign currency management and FX rate management in the system

• Intercompany balances reconciliation

• Balance sheet reconciliations and issue resolution

• Bank master data maintenance

• Month-end close process management

• Initiate and contribute to process improvements

• Support internal and external audits

• Participating in cross functional projects

• Balance sheet accounts reconciliation

• Payroll files processing

• Support for direct debits/guarantees, etc.

 

What you bring to the team

 

We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. The role will be a remote with occasional work in the Hitachi Office in Krakow, Poland.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:

• Master’s in finance or bachelor’s degree

• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting or treasury area

• Working knowledge of IFRS and J-SOX

• Fluent English

• SAP knowledge would be an asset

• Computer literate, MS Office, especially Excel

• High level of accuracy / attention to detail

• Practical, hands-on mentality, strong delivery attitude

• Experience in multinational sector preferred

• Continuous Improvement mindset and experience

• Team player attitude
