Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in compliance with IFRS and Indian GAAP standards.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts, reviewing variances, and ensuring timely reporting to senior leadership.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, optimizing cash flow and minimizing financial risks through diligent invoice processing and collections.
  • Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to provide actionable insights that support business objectives and cost-control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory audits, and internal controls, collaborating with external auditors to facilitate seamless reviews.
  • Identify process improvements and implement automation tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
  • Support cross-functional teams with financial data for project evaluations, investment decisions, and performance reporting.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting within a manufacturing, technology, or multinational corporate environment (experience)
  • Professional certification such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA, CMA, or ICWA (experience)
  • Proven track record of handling full-cycle accounting processes and financial closings (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, GST, and TDS compliance requirements (experience)
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle Financials (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA with a finance specialization (experience)
  • Big 4 audit firm experience or exposure to statutory audits in India (experience)
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling and data analytics tools (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger accounts, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and management commentary
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles, vendor payments, and customer invoicing to optimize working capital
  • Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and risk management
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance (if applicable), and regulatory filings with ROC, GST authorities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for business decisions and project feasibility
  • Identify and implement process automation and efficiency improvements using tools like Excel macros or ERP modules
