Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML models, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI systems tailored to aerospace and industrial IoT challenges.
  • Conduct research and experimentation to prototype novel AI solutions, optimizing for performance, scalability, and real-time inference on edge devices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams on AI best practices, model evaluation metrics, and ethical AI deployment.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and domain experts to translate business requirements into robust AI pipelines.
  • Integrate AI systems with Honeywell's cloud and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards like ISO 26262 and NIST AI frameworks.
  • Monitor and iterate on deployed models using MLOps practices, driving continuous improvement in accuracy and efficiency.

  • Deep expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX (experience)
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and model deployment in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) (experience)
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python, C++, or Java, including experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) (experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from concept to production (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Machine Learning or Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, industrial IoT, or edge AI applications (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable AI algorithms and models for real-world applications in predictive analytics and computer vision
  • Lead end-to-end AI project lifecycles, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model training and hyperparameter optimization
  • Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines for automated model training, validation, and deployment using tools like MLflow or Kubeflow
  • Perform advanced model evaluations, including bias detection, robustness testing, and federated learning implementations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into Honeywell's software platforms and hardware ecosystems
  • Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and contribute to internal knowledge sharing through workshops and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and optimize AI systems for performance in resource-constrained environments like edge computing
