Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement advanced software applications for industrial IoT, automation, and control systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and integration with Honeywell's proprietary platforms.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and prototyping to testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization in cloud and edge environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and hardware engineers, to deliver customized solutions for aerospace avionics, building automation, and energy management systems.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and real-time data processing pipelines using modern frameworks to support Honeywell's Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and security assessments to meet stringent regulatory standards such as FAA, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps, fostering innovation in AI/ML integration for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into actionable engineering solutions.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software application development for industrial, aerospace, or automation systems (experience)
  • Proven expertise in full-stack development with experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of real-time systems, IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC UA), and embedded software integration (experience)
  • Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines (experience)
  • Ability to obtain security clearance if required for sensitive projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Master, or IoT-specific credentials (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell Forge or similar industrial IoT platforms (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable software applications integrating AI/ML for predictive analytics in aerospace and building technologies
  • Lead technical reviews and prototype development for new product features in automation and control systems
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to integrate software with hardware sensors and edge devices
  • Optimize application performance for low-latency, high-availability environments in mission-critical applications
  • Implement cybersecurity measures and compliance with industry standards like DO-178C for avionics software
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and deployment automation to ensure zero-downtime releases
  • Provide technical support and training to field teams on deployed applications
