Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced data models and machine learning algorithms to analyze building automation system (BAS) data, predicting equipment failures and optimizing HVAC, lighting, and energy usage.
  • Lead data pipeline development using cloud platforms like AWS or Azure to ingest, process, and visualize IoT sensor data from Honeywell's connected building ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
  • Perform in-depth statistical analysis and anomaly detection on large-scale datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings in building operations.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate insights to executive leadership and field teams.
  • Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to validate data-driven recommendations for building automation improvements.

  • Hands-on expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn (experience)
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data tools like Spark or Hadoop (experience)
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, BAS, IoT sensors) and energy analytics (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, or Tableau Desktop Specialist (experience)
  • Experience with building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus) or Honeywell-specific systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced predictive models for building equipment maintenance and energy optimization using time-series data
  • Build and automate ETL pipelines to integrate disparate data sources from IoT devices and BAS platforms
  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover insights on building performance, sustainability metrics, and operational KPIs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement data-driven enhancements in Honeywell's building automation software
  • Design and deliver executive-level dashboards and visualizations for real-time monitoring and decision-making
  • Lead data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, governance, and anomaly detection processes
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of analytics best practices within the team
