Advanced Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India | Workplace: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, simulation, and validation of advanced electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and embedded electronics for aerospace and industrial products.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams in the development and prototyping of PCB layouts, schematic captures, and firmware integration using tools like Altium Designer and Cadence.
  • Conduct rigorous failure mode analysis (FMEA), thermal management studies, and EMC/EMI compliance testing to ensure designs meet stringent industry standards such as DO-160 and IPC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and supply chain partners, to integrate electrical designs into full product architectures.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies like high-voltage power electronics, SiC/GaN devices, and IoT-enabled smart systems.

  • Proven track record of leading electrical design projects from concept to production (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and simulation software (e.g., LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink) (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards (IPC, DO-160, MIL-STD) and compliance testing (experience)
  • Experience with high-reliability systems design, including power electronics and signal integrity (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer) or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
  • Experience with aerospace avionics or industrial automation systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced electrical architectures, including schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials for complex systems
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical design issues using tools like DFA and DFMEA
  • Perform simulations and prototyping to validate designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate with global teams to integrate electrical subsystems with mechanical and software components
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure best practices and innovation
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver on-time electrical engineering solutions
