Advanced Embedded Engineer

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex projects involving IoT, edge computing, and AI-integrated embedded platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software for microcontrollers and processors using C/C++ in resource-constrained environments.
- Develop and integrate real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or VxWorks for safety-critical applications.
- Perform hardware-software integration, debugging, and optimization using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Lead firmware development for wireless communication protocols including BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and CAN bus.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards like MISRA C and DO-178C.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product managers to define requirements and resolve technical challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and agile sprint planning.

- Proven expertise in C/C++ programming for embedded applications (experience)
- Experience with RTOS and bare-metal programming on ARM Cortex-M or similar microcontrollers (experience)
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, ADC) (experience)
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and agile methodologies (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
- Certifications such as ARM Accredited Engineer or ISTQB (experience)
- Experience with embedded Linux, Yocto, or device drivers (experience)
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop low-level firmware for embedded devices ensuring high performance and reliability
- Optimize power consumption and memory usage in battery-operated systems
- Implement secure boot, encryption, and OTA update mechanisms for IoT devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in multi-threaded embedded environments
- Develop automated test frameworks using Python or CUnit for CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments for safety-critical systems
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to technical roadmaps
