Advanced Embedded Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced embedded software for real-time systems using C/C++ on ARM, PowerPC, or microcontroller platforms.
- Develop and integrate RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, FreeRTOS) drivers, middleware, and communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, ARINC 429.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and static analysis for DO-178C compliance.
- Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and reliability in resource-constrained environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, systems architects, and quality assurance to deliver robust solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Support system-level verification, certification processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Hands-on experience with RTOS and bare-metal programming on ARM or similar architectures (experience)
- Familiarity with embedded debugging tools and hardware protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART) (experience)
- Experience with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
- Certifications in DO-178C, MISRA C, or embedded security (e.g., AUTOSAR) (experience)
- Experience with aerospace or automotive embedded systems and model-based development (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware for complex control systems using C/C++ and assembly
- Implement and test communication interfaces including Ethernet, CAN, and MIL-STD-1553
- Lead requirements analysis, design reviews, and traceability for safety-critical software
- Optimize algorithms for low-power, high-performance embedded applications
- Conduct thorough testing including unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to resolve system-level issues and ensure seamless integration
- Document designs, generate compliance artifacts, and support certification activities
