Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for real-time systems using C/C++ and RTOS.
  • Architect firmware solutions for microcontrollers and SoCs, integrating sensors, actuators, and communication protocols.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in roadmap planning, prototyping, and validation of embedded technologies.
  • Perform debugging, performance tuning, and hardware-software integration testing.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product managers to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, MISRA) and conduct code reviews.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies like ARM Cortex, FPGA integration, and edge AI.

Summary

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development (experience)
  • Proven expertise in C/C++ programming for resource-constrained environments (experience)
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or Linux embedded (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, AVR, PIC) and hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN) (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Certifications in embedded systems (e.g., ARM Accredited Engineer, ISTQB) (experience)
  • Experience with safety-critical systems (DO-178C, ISO 26262) or aerospace/defense projects (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded firmware for complex control systems, ensuring high reliability and performance
  • Lead the design and implementation of technology roadmaps aligned with business and customer needs
  • Conduct system-level integration, testing, and optimization of embedded software-hardware interactions
  • Mentor junior engineers and perform peer code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve embedded system challenges
  • Evaluate and integrate new embedded technologies, tools, and methodologies into product development
  • Document designs, generate test reports, and support certification processes for regulatory compliance
