Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and diagnostics for Honeywell's Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) at customer facilities.
  • Lead the implementation and commissioning of automation solutions, including system upgrades, software configurations, and hardware installations to optimize plant performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on complex field issues, develop corrective action plans, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve systemic problems.
  • Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on Honeywell systems, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with industry standards like ISA and IEC.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, system health assessments, and performance optimizations to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
  • Document all service activities, generate detailed reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Honeywell's service excellence framework.

Summary

  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and commissioning DCS, PLC, or SIS systems from vendors like Honeywell, Emerson, or Yokogawa (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and work on-site at customer locations in the Gulf Coast region (experience)
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and comply with site-specific safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, HAZOP) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Honeywell-specific certifications such as Experion PKS or Safety Manager (experience)
  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or refining industries with knowledge of API standards (experience)

  • Install, configure, and commission control systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing plant infrastructure
