Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced hardware architectures, including PCBs, FPGAs, and embedded systems for mission-critical applications.
  • Lead hardware prototyping, testing, and validation efforts using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis to ensure robust design performance.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate hardware components seamlessly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IPC, DO-254, and MIL-STD for aerospace and defense projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps for next-generation hardware innovations.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics)intermediate
  • Expertise in FPGA programming (VHDL/Verilog) and tools like Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartusintermediate
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, microcontrollers (ARM, AVR), and power suppliesintermediate
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and automated test equipmentintermediate
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)intermediate
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsintermediate
  • Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for scripting and simulationintermediate
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilitiesintermediate

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors (experience)
  • Proven expertise in PCB design, schematic capture, and layout using tools like Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA development, embedded systems, and hardware prototyping (experience)
  • Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, and signal integrity (experience)
  • Experience with hardware testing, debugging, and compliance standards (e.g., IPC, UL, DO-160) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
  • Experience with high-speed design, RF hardware, or safety-critical systems (e.g., ASIL-D, DO-254) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design multi-layer PCBs and custom hardware solutions for embedded control systems
  • Develop and execute hardware test plans, including environmental testing and EMI/EMC validation
  • Optimize hardware for performance, power efficiency, and cost in high-volume production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and interface specifications
  • Conduct design reviews, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and processors into robust hardware platforms
  • Support manufacturing transition, including DFM/DFA analysis and yield improvements
