Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and lead process optimization initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to integrate automation into new product introductions and existing production lines.
  • Develop and maintain HMI interfaces, SCADA systems, and control architectures for real-time monitoring and control.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on automation failures and implement preventive measures to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Support capital equipment justification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of automated systems.

  • Hands-on experience with robotic automation systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB) and industrial vision systems (experience)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools like Minitab or Python (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or Robotics (e.g., RIA Certified Robot Integrator) (experience)
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, MES, or AI/ML in manufacturing (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and program automation control systems, including PLC ladder logic, structured text, and safety circuits
  • Lead the development and deployment of robotic workcells for assembly, material handling, and inspection processes
  • Perform process simulations and time studies using software like RoboDK or Process Simulate to validate automation solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues during production ramp-ups
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for automated equipment
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and implement robust automation designs
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, cycle time, and yield to drive continuous improvements
