Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation technologies to improve throughput and yield.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and develop data-driven solutions to eliminate defects and minimize downtime.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, including value stream mapping, kaizen events, and implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions like IoT and digital twins.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to transition new products into production seamlessly.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process control plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and advanced analytics tools to monitor and enhance process capabilities.
  • Support capital equipment justification, procurement, and installation to drive technological advancements in the facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, or production support in a high-volume manufacturing environment (experience)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies (experience)
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and automation technologies (experience)
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and process capability studies (CpK, SPC) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing industries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost in production lines
  • Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation using tools like 8D and FMEA
  • Design and deploy automation solutions, including robotics, PLC programming, and vision systems
  • Conduct process simulations and time studies to validate improvements and support new product introductions (NPI)
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive initiatives to achieve world-class OEE and yield targets
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to qualify new processes, materials, and equipment
  • Mentor junior engineers and support training programs on manufacturing best practices
