Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize advanced manufacturing processes, including automation, robotics, and digital twin technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to achieve defect-free production and cost savings.
  • Develop and qualify new manufacturing processes for high-precision components, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards such as AS9100.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to integrate manufacturability into product development from concept to production.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement projects, targeting metrics like OEE, yield, and throughput.
  • Utilize data analytics and Industry 4.0 tools (e.g., IoT, AI/ML) to monitor and predict manufacturing performance, driving proactive optimizations.
  • Manage capital projects for equipment upgrades and process tooling, delivering on-time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or high-tech industries (experience)
  • Proven track record in process optimization and implementation of Lean manufacturing principles (experience)
  • Experience with automation systems, PLC programming, and robotics integration (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) and statistical process control (experience)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (experience)
  • Experience with digital manufacturing tools such as Siemens NX, PTC Creo, or DELMIA (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced manufacturing processes using automation, robotics, and digital simulation to improve production efficiency by 20%+
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects, conducting DMAIC analyses to eliminate waste and achieve measurable cost reductions
  • Develop and validate new process technologies for complex assemblies, ensuring scalability and quality compliance
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to transition designs into high-volume manufacturing seamlessly
  • Analyze production data using advanced analytics to identify bottlenecks and implement predictive maintenance strategies
  • Manage CAPEX projects for equipment procurement and installation, delivering ROI within defined timelines
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in advanced manufacturing and safety protocols
