Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced manufacturing processes, including automation, robotics, and digital twins.
  • Develop and deploy lean manufacturing strategies to reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Drive innovation through the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, AI, and predictive analytics to enable smart factories.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve complex production issues and ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to integrate new products into manufacturing lines seamlessly.
  • Mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and champion safety protocols in all operations.
  • Prepare executive-level reports on process performance metrics, cost savings, and ROI on manufacturing investments.

  • 7+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead capacity (experience)
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements in high-volume manufacturing environments (experience)
  • Experience with aerospace or electronics manufacturing processes and standards (e.g., AS9100, IPC) (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and manufacturing execution systems (MES) (experience)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or MBA (experience)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification (experience)
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives, including PLC programming and CAD/CAM software (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced manufacturing solutions, including automation systems and robotic integrations to boost throughput by 20-30%
  • Optimize production processes using statistical process control (SPC), DOE, and simulation modeling to achieve defect rates below 100 PPM
  • Drive adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies such as machine learning for predictive maintenance and real-time process monitoring
  • Mentor and manage a team of 5-10 engineers, setting performance goals and facilitating professional development
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to qualify new equipment and materials for production scalability
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and risk assessments to ensure robust, safe manufacturing operations
  • Develop and track KPIs for manufacturing efficiency, delivering monthly reports to senior leadership
