Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual design, modeling, and analysis of complex mechanical systems using advanced CAD tools and simulation software.
- Develop and validate prototypes through rigorous testing protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, ISO, and aerospace regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing experts, to integrate mechanical designs into full product architectures.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to optimize designs for durability, weight reduction, and thermal performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews, providing technical leadership on best practices and innovation.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation from concept to production, ensuring on-time delivery of high-reliability solutions.

- Experience with design for reliability, DFMEA, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (experience)
- Professional certification such as PE (Professional Engineer) or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
- Experience in aerospace or defense applications with knowledge of DO-160 or MIL-STD standards (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced mechanical components and assemblies for high-reliability applications using state-of-the-art CAD and simulation tools
- Conduct detailed engineering analyses including structural, thermal, and vibration testing to validate design integrity
- Lead design reviews and risk assessments to mitigate potential failures and ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for producibility and cost-efficiency
- Prototype and test mechanical systems, iterating based on empirical data and customer feedback
- Document designs comprehensively and support transition to production, including tooling and fixture development
