Advanced Project Engineer

Location: International (Hybrid Workplace)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle for advanced engineering initiatives, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and optimize system architectures using tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or CAD software for aerospace and industrial applications.
  • Conduct risk assessments, failure mode analysis (FMEA), and ensure compliance with international standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to meet project milestones and budgets.
  • Implement advanced project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or Six Sigma to drive efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to translate needs into actionable engineering solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering within aerospace, defense, or industrial automation sectors (experience)
  • Proven track record managing complex engineering projects from inception to completion (experience)
  • Experience with engineering design tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or ANSYS (experience)
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards like FAA, EASA, or ISO 9001 (experience)
  • Strong project management skills with PMP certification or equivalent (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline (experience)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Six Sigma Green Belt certification (experience)
  • International project experience in multicultural environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the design, development, and validation of advanced engineering systems and prototypes
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets using MS Project or Primavera, ensuring adherence to scope and quality standards
  • Perform system integration testing, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for engineering challenges
  • Collaborate with global supply chain partners to ensure component availability and cost optimization
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance project efficiency
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for executive reviews and customer deliverables
  • Mentor and develop junior team members while fostering a culture of innovation and safety
